Founder

John has supported large international corporations and US Government IT and security programs for over twenty years. Prior to going to work in the private sector he proudly served in the United States Army. He has both worked for and helped establish multiple successful IT engineering services firms focused on supporting the commercial sector, DoD, IC, and the Federal Government. John also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Virginia where he taught post-graduate courses in information security. John has presented at many cyber security summits, conferences, and workshops and is well known within the information security and government communities as an accomplished resource to C-level executives.

Experience and passion.

John has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Networking, a Master’s in Information Systems from George Washington University, and numerous industry recognized certifications including Certified CISO, PMP, CISSP, CISM, MCSE, MCDBA, CCAH (Big Data), GCUX, and NSA IAM/IEM.  John also has certifications in Advanced Data Loss Prevention, Network Forensics and Analysis, and SIEM architectures.

John is focused on helping KimberSystem’s customers solve their most difficult security and engineering challenges by utilizing the most innovative technologies related to computer network defense, automated threat detection, incident response, mobility, forensics, cloud, analytics, and big data.
